2. has turned into a documentation/photographic gallery of our boy.
3. will most likely stay that way....
it's been well-used in the past couple weeks I've had it. Thanks to my lovely sister, I learned how to actually take pictures while we were in Hawaii. Thanks sister! These are some of my favorites Nelson and I have taken so far:
Some of my favorite parts of this baby are his little hands and feet. lately they go hand-in-hand because he loves grabbing his feet. and then eating them. and then putting his hands/feet/both in my mouth. impeccable manners.
I love it when Auden watches over me while I cook or do dishes. It makes me feel missed.
Nelson snapped this one {along with 20 more}. that face.... i have a feeling he will cause some trouble with his dad in the future.......
he's been grabbing at everything these days. he's so so curious and loves to explore. I let him (as long as it's safe of course) and Nelson usually has to clean up. :) One day, I let Auden play with a pack of gum on Nelson's desk and consequently, the contents spilled out. I forgot to clean them up before Nelson got home. He arrived at the scene of the crime, sighed a happy sigh, and said, "Well, I guess I have to get used to it. This is what happens to dads, right?" this little observance made me really happy inside actually.
he also has been moving. a lot. especially when he first wakes up. so this is how I found him one day after his nap. just stuck. sucking on his thumb and babbling to himself at the same time. I snapped a better picture of it on my phone where he looked so proud of himself. he finds a new way to make me smile every day.
also, he's been preferring to sleep on his side these days. it is so. so. so. adorable. he really is starting to look like a kid these days. not so much a baby.... it is so bittersweet.
Nelson saw this picture and said, "he loves being his daddy's boy." it's true. he loves it. they love playing together. when Nelson walks through the door after a long day at school, Auden giggles, kicks, and squeals because he gets so excited.
this was a spontaneous photo session. i came back from running errands and we realized we were matching. we couldn't pass up this opportunity!
this is what we are doing these days to the little boy: he is just gettin' so chunky! how can you resist chewing on those as an appetizer?? ;)
his smiles melt me. into a puddle of joy.
P.S. everyone comments on Auden's hair-- we agree, it is pretty suave. a month ago, we snipped a litle off the back and those killer sideburns (as you can see in the picture above). we're gearing up for haircut #2. the mullet has returned with a fierce vengeance. 80's rockstars would be jealous.
The crib is a mini crib by the way. That last picture is so tender.
ReplyDeletechubby babies are my FAVORITE! In the picture of him in his crib, he looks like he is bigger than you, Ginnie!
ReplyDeleteIt's darling that he sleeps on his side. I love the nibbling baby picture.
